Wish you were here was an ongoing project which culminated in a solo show at Chatham University’s Gallery. It created a revisionist world history through the lens of early teens in the 1990’s. The observations and agonies of adolescents, documented in found journals and laid out in timelines made the audience wince and giggle.

Alongside the timeline pieces was a coin-op twin bed. Once 25 cents was inserted into the bed interface, the viewer could sit or lie down to feel vibrations. Using a Morse code key card and pad of paper next to the bed, the viewer was invited to decipher the
vibrating message. Digitally printed textile for the comforter, created from imagery found on the covers of the journals.
