Join Small Mall featured artist Grits Capone as he leads a night of making where attendees will create a collage using templates from Grits’s collection.

Grits will then lead attendees in a second segment where they create a poem inspired by their collage. 

 

Entry to the event is: $10 

We will provide glue sticks for collaging.

Corey Carrington (also known as Grits Capone) is a poet, collagist, and curator from the Northside of Pittsburgh, PA. He has performed at the August Wilson Center, the Kelly Strayhorn Theater, and Wood Street Gallery. Carrington's visual work has been displayed at the Carnegie Museum Of Art, BOOM Concepts, Social Status and the Frick Fine Art University Gallery. Carrington graduated from Slippery Rock University in 2011 with a B.S. in Communication and Creative Writing.
