Last Thursday, before a rousing night of Karaoke, Corey Escoto, Blaine Siegel and myself spoke at PechaKucha Pittsburgh - as a not very subtle way of promoting CSA PGH. AIA Pittsburgh and AIGA Pittsburgh hosted the event at The Pittsburgh Filmmakers Melwood Screening Room and it was completely fantastic. I'm very confident when I say that we killed it. In fact, by the end of the night, it was mentioned that the whole event was really an infomercial for our project.
The event gave me the opportunity to mix with the crazy world of designers and architects. (A crazy world where people really make money from their creative ventures.) Everyone was warm and supportive and wearing ultra cool glasses...and I felt right at home.
Ray Bowman stopped by my house a few days before the event to interview me for his local podcast D:i which focuses on designers in the region. He was so easy to talk to that I didn't notice we were recording anything until it was halfway over. The interview is here and I'd like to encourage you to listen because it's a great local resource AND because he gave me some delicious pepper jelly his wife had canned. Enjoy.
