Everything begins with a conversation and SIX x ATE exists to start them.

One of CDCP's keystone programs, SIX x ATE began in 2012 with a small event for the 2013 Carnegie International's Apartment Talks. Now entering its sixth season in 2017, this series of food, art, and lecture continues to create a more diverse conversation and stronger creative community in Pittsburgh.

For each event, the audience is invited to sit and enjoy five-minute presentations from six artists and a meal from one or several cuisiniers. All of the work presented or performed responds to the theme of the night. There are no formal Q & A’s or long-winded introductions, so guests spend most of the evening talking informally while eating and drinking. This relaxed environment encourages real connections, spurring future collaborations and forging new friendships.
