David Kronn is the Chief of Medical Genetics at Westchester Medical Center and Associate Professor of Pathology and Pediatrics at New York Medical College, both in Valhalla, New York; He was born in Dublin and qualified as a physician from Trinity College Dublin. His interest in photography has been lifelong, initially as a keen amateur photographer which he continues, to his interest in collecting which started shortly after arriving in New York. Photographs from his collection have been shown at the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin in 2011 and 2014, at the Glucksman Gallery, Cork in 2011 and at the Butler Gallery, Kilkenny in 2015. His collection is an ongoing donation and promised gift to the Irish Museum of Modern Art.
