Nova Place

Suite 101 (Tower 1)
Pittsburgh, PA 15212

On Friday, May 26th, join Aay Preston-Myint and Latham Zearfoss, of Chicago-based collective, Chances Dances, along with local curator Hannah Turpin as they reflect on their May residency in Pittsburgh. This event is open to the community, and we invite you to bring a dish or libation to share, as we celebrate their work with Pittsburgh’s visual arts community.

During their residency, Aay Preston-Myint and Latham Zearfoss worked to capture the arts community through a series of exchanges of insider/outsider perspectives. By having conversations with local artists staged on and across the city's various bridges, a portrait/mapping of the current local creative scene surfaces not only through words and ideas, but also in original art responding to the different Pittsburgh settings, a recipe exchange, and discovered ephemera. Working with local curator Hannah Turpin, Preston-Myint and Zearfoss' visit  will culminate in a visual documentation that weaves together each experience into a vibrant narrative, offering a glimpse of how Pittsburgh art and artists live in our contemporary moment.

The Residence is a Casey Droege Cultural Production in partnership with Radiant Hall. Learn more here.
